Charter Fishing

River Fishing
Some of the best fishing in the state is available in the fall and spring as trout and salmon make their way upstream on the Sheboygan River. Anglers must provide their own fishing gear and the applicable licenses. Available to resort guests with the purchase of a daily pass. Inland Fishing
Inland lakes throughout Sheboygan County and the Kettle Moraine State Forest offer grand opportunities for fresh water fishing. The Sheboygan County Marsh Park offers 30-acres of developed land, with canoe and boat rentals, a public boat launch, fishing piers and a restaurant. Please call (920) 876-2535 for more information.
Cedar Springs Fisherman's Paradise
Located approximately 15 miles west of Kohler, the spring-fed ponds of Cedar Springs offer unique trout fishing. Cane poles and bait are provided. Cost is based on the weight of the live catch and includes cleaning. Please call (920) 528-8480 for more information.
Horseback Riding
Enjoy a leisurely ride through River Wildlife on well–trained western pleasure horses. No experience required; minimum age is 12. Available to resort guests by reservation. Lodging reservations are required before making reservations for River Wildlife activities.

River Wildlife offers a variety of shooting sports. Reservations are required and available to members and resort guests only. Lodging reservations are required before making reservations for River Wildlife activities.
Upland Bird Hunting
One of the Midwest’s premiere hunting clubs featuring ring–neck pheasants and partridge hunts. Expert guides, dogs and equipment are available. Hunting season runs from mid–September to early spring. Advance reservations, purchased hunting pass and experience are required. In addition, lodging reservations are required before making reservations for River Wildlife activities.
Five Stand Sporting Clays
A compact 5-station course provides an invigorating workout for the experienced shooter. Each station simulates different wild game as it’s being flushed–“running rabbit”, “springing teal,” etc. Excellent for group activities. Trap Shooting
Valuable warm–up before a hunt, Trap Shooting challenging sighting and coordination skills as targets hurtle away at 45 degree angles and varying heights. Available for larger groups as well as individuals. Lodging reservations are required before making reservations for River Wildlife activities.
Walking, Hiking & Biking
Wildlife Sanctuary
River Wildlife's 500 acre wilderness preserve is maintained in a natural state for the preservation of native vegetation and wildlife. Hiking and cross-country ski trails wind throughout the preserve and afford one the privilege of viewing wildlife first hand. Resort guests must purchase a daily pass to River Wildlife for a nominal fee. Lodging reservations are required before making reservations for River Wildlife activities.
Old Plank Road Recreation Trail
This 17-mile paved multipurpose recreation trail parallels State Highway 23 from the Lake Michigan lakefront in Sheboygan to historic Greenbush, where it connects with the Ice Age National Trail in the beautiful Kettle Moraine State Forest.

Outdoor Walking and Running Trail

Garden Tours
Experience the lush gardens of The American Club. View original works of art placed in garden settings. Stroll through native prairie grasses and wildflowers, or beneath stately trees in an arboretum setting. Self-guided garden tours using audio tour wands are offered April-October. Kohler-Andre State Park
The fascinating rolling sand dunes and unique wildlife make Kohler-Andre State Park a must for outdoor-minded visitors. Located just south of the city of Sheboygan on the shores of Lake Michigan, the park features all-purpose trails that range from 1.3 to 4.3 miles in length. Kohler-Andre State Park is located 11 miles from the Village of Kohler.
Ellwood H. May Environmental Park (Maywood)
This unique, diverse park offers 120 acres of forests, wetlands and prairie with ponds, river and an abundance of wildlife. Miles of free trails are perfect for birding, hiking and skiing, with some being handicap accessible. There is no charge to walk the self-guided trails. Park located 6 miles from the Village of Kohler.
Deland Park
Located along the shores of Lake Michigan in downtown Sheboygan, Deland Park includes a beach, bathhouse, tot lots, shelters, public boat launch, Sheboygan Yacht Club and Youth Sailing Center. Deland Park also offers a multipurpose trail that takes walkers from the boat launch area to the north breakwater, past the Harbor Centre Marina. Deland Park is located 9 miles from the Village of Kohler.
