Class Descriptions

To prepare for yoga, do not eat before class. Wear comfortable stretchy clothing. Yoga is performed barefoot. Bring your own sticky mat if possible (mats are available for rental or purchase). Bring full water bottle to class. If you have any medical conditions or are pregnant, inform instructor BEFORE class, so that poses can be modified. Cell phones must be turned off at all times.

Class Descriptions:

All Levels Hatha Yoga: 45/60 minutes. Release tension while increasing strength, flexibility, focus, and balance.  Join us for a creative and playful practice that will invigorate you for the rest of the day.

All Levels Vinyasa: 60/75 minutes. Practice developing balance, flexibility and strength with students of all levels: beginners as well as intermediate and advanced students are welcome here! We practice together following our breath and our inner experience to find the level that is perfect for us. Modifications on poses are offered for varying levels.

Baptiste Power Vinyasa: 75 minutes. Suitable for all levels. A challenging and flowing form of yoga that heals, detoxifies and electrifies body and mind at their deepest levels. This class will challenge you physically, emotionally and mentally. It is a whole body system that builds strength and balance and ignites your metabolic furnace. This is a heated class, expect to sweat.

Bellydance: Intermediate Tribal Improv: 60 minutes. This intermediate level class will focus on development of the synchronization and improvisation skills that are unique to Tribal Improvisational Style bellydance. Dancers will learn how to use cues and transitions, as well as the concepts of leading and following, group formations, and chorus techniques to move together as a unified group without choreography. This class is intended for intermediate level dancers with a desire to learn improvisational dance. Dancers must have an existing knowledge of basic bellydance techniques however previous experience need not be in tribal style dance.

Bellydance: Masters FormatTM: 45 minutes. The Masters Format of bellydance promotes the understanding that dance allows you to explore, express, heal and grow as a person in all aspects of life. It focuses on proper posture, breath control and technique through drill practice. An introduction to breath control with posturing technique will help the beginning student gain a deeper understanding of the body and how it moves. Intermediate students will find this a challenging class as they start to add layers to the basics of the Masters Format with 10 steps to texturing the dance.

Bellydance: Tribal Improv Basics: 60 minutes. Tribal Improvisational Style is an American style of bellydance whose movements are rooted in the ancient traditions of many Middle Eastern dances. Through development of a simple but structured movement vocabulary, dancers use cues to create a synchronized group performance that is always improvisational. This style's grounded presentation builds personal strength and self-confidence. The Basics class will focus on use of drills to build a strong foundation in basic bellydance techniques through use of breathing, proper posture, and step-by-step instruction. It is perfect for beginners looking to learn about this style of dance and essential for intermediate and advanced level dancers looking to grow their skill level.

Community Class: 60 minutes. Community class is priced at half the drop in rate. Format follows a yoga basics class which focuses on the fundamental postures and combines breath with movement in order to build strength and flexibility. Come and build community, breathe deep, gain strength and have fun. All levels welcome.

Guided Meditation: 30 minutes. FREE CLASS - All levels. Meditation is the perfect complement for yoga, as yoga helps strengthen the body and mind; meditation helps bring the mind and body into balance. You’ll feel far more relaxed and happy. Your ability to concentrate will be greater. You won’t become stressed about things and you’ll feel more peaceful and relaxed about everything. Join us and see how discovering your own inner stillness will have a ripple effect on the rest of your life.

Rock’n Vinyasa: 60/75 minutes. All levels. Start your weekend with a flowing form of yoga, an hour of delightfully unpredictable, dynamic and creative yoga! The only requirement for this class is a playful spirit. Be prepared to explore, sweat and have fun.

Running & Yoga: 75 minutes. Extend your yoga practice into running. This 75 minute class will start with a 30 minute run followed by a 45 minute practice. The deep breathing and quiet mind we learn in class can be taken into your running, making it a moving meditation. We will focus on runners issues in this class; shoulders, hips, knees and ankles.

Slow Flow Vinyasa: 60 minutes. Meditation in motion; focuses on mindful awareness of the body through alignment and longer holds of postures. This practice encourages a balance between engagement and willful surrender through a moderate flowing style. Beginners & All Levels welcome.

Yin Yang Restore: 75 minutes. All levels. A great blend of yang and yin energy. Experience an active, flowing vinyasa practice to build sun/ha/yang energy; followed with long, deep, stretches for a more yin/tha/moon focus to bring the mind and body into a deeply relaxed and meditative state.

Yoga Basics: 45/60 minutes. This class focuses on the fundamental postures and combines breath with movement in order to build strength and flexibility.
